Green tea is a precious beverage, and drinking green tea is not only a spiritual enjoyment, but a kind artistic behavior. While variety of physical and psychological effects on people have been known since ancient time. However, scientific research in modern society is also providing hard evidence for the health benefits long associated with drinking green tea.
1)    Green tea can help prevent tooth decay and halitosis. Larger of catechin in green tea which have been steamed and dried without fermenting compare with other tea, therefore, they can preserve chlorophyll and vitamin which can kill the bacteria that causes dental plaque and halitosis, but easy to loss with high temperature.
2)    Green tea can help weight loss. Green tea contains, in addition to caffeine, small amounts of other methyl xanthenes. These elements will burn more calories than those given only caffeine or a placebo.
3)    Green tea may provide anti-aging protection. It will be produced lots of free radicals who can lead to people aging easily during metabolism. SOD, the scavenger of free radical, can remove excess free radicals effectively and prevent free radicals damage on the human body. The catechins in green tea can significantly improve SOD's function and remove free radicals.
4)    Green tea can improve digestion. This is due to the caffeine in green tea can enhance the secretion of juice which will help improve digestion and strengthen the ability of decomposing fat.
Many other benefits on drinking green teas are reputed to be helpful:
(1)   Reduce the harm from computer radiation.
(2)    Fresh-up brain
(3)   Reduce cholesterin and hypertension.
(4)   Help protect against cancer.
We also should know that if we want to gain these benefits from green tea, we must keep drinking green tea this habit for a long time. Though many advantages we can find from the green tea, that is not mean green tea can do everything and every people can drink it.
Pregnant women and just surgery patients are not advised to drink green tea. According to a recent study shows, green tea contains a substance EGCC who will prevent angiogenesis. Though it is good for killing the cancer cells base on preventing angiogenesis and don't supply the nutrition for cancer cells to starve them, it is bad for pregnant women and just surgery patients.
